RE: Sink Leaking

Try a rubber gasket instead of the puddy. That's what's on my Jayco.

RE: Winter Storage with a Bargeman plug

That plug holder is a good idea, have to get one of them. I have been using electrical grease on the plug and connecter and then using a quart size freezer bad to cover the plug end and twist it closed and use a twist tie to keep it closed. Has work real good over the years.

RE: Winter bugs

What I do is try and seal up all the holes and cracks on, under and everywhere I can see. I do not like to use sprays because of the smell so I use these "sticky boards". Small pieces of cardboard with real sticky glue on them. I get them at Walmart. Place them on the floor next to the walls. Bugs and mice like to travel along walls. These sticky boards will even hold a mouse in place until it dies or you remove it. I then check the PUP and the boards about every two to three weeks and replace as needed. So far this has worked for me but here in Nebraska when it gets cold, don't have to worry about bugs too much. Good Luck to you.

RE: Questions about vinyl. on a Pop-up.

So far I have not had any vinyl problems when winter camping in cold temps but I was careful when handling it just in case.

RE: Good night my little PUP.....

Unfortunatly I also have put te PUP away for her long winters rest, fortunatly I can leave her on the patio as the city allows it. Storage fees can add up in a hurry.

RE: Norrowed it down to these

Have not owned a Starcraft but have always heard their quality was good and they stand behind their product. Starcraft was my second choice to Jayco. Good luck in your decision.

RE: Palomino quality standing

In addition to my Jayco P/U, I have an 08 Palomino Bronco popup truck camper when I go way back up in the mountains in Wyoming. Shortly after buying the camper, I noticed some water damage in the roof corner. I took it to the dealer, they looked at it, took some pictures and the warrenty person called Palomino. A few days later, Palomino called me and apolized for the trouble and said they would replace the entire roof. It took about four weeks to get the roof to the dealer and another two weeks to get the camper into the dealer to do the work, but it's done. I could not be happier with the way things went from the dealer and from Palomino. I also can say that other than minor things I took care of myself, I have had no other issues about the Palomino. I truley believe that the dealer you buy from, goes a long way with how warrenty work is handled. As for Palomino, they stood behind thier product 100%. Just another thing, the shipping crate the roof came in said Forest River Company. Hope this helps you and anyone else when it comes to Palomino products, but this is just my case and how it ended.

RE: HELP....sink drains really slow

Ive heard of some people adding a vent to their drain hook up to improve flow. I haven't had any sink flow problems at all so I can't help much.

RE: Jayco vs. Flagstaff

Pop Ups are a economical way of camping. When I was looking for one I saw just about every brand out there and they all have there good points and bad points. It's all up to you and want you want and like. I went with Jayco because of a dealer in town for warranty work, the price and the quality which I thought was very good compared to some other PUPs I looked at.

RE: pop up don't

When I bought my Jayco the dealer did tell me that the lifter system has a Lifetime Warrenty to the Original Owner.

RE: vin location

On my Jayco, on the right side front, there is a sticker with VIN, Date of Manufacture and Tire Pressure settings. Other than that, I would contact a Jayco dealer in your area and ask them. If you send off an e-mail to Jayco, they will just respond by telling you to go to your nearest dealer.Good Luck in your search..........

RE: last camping trip...

If it will make you sleep better at night, then by all means, disconnect the water hose. Sometimes it better to be safe then sorry. Besides, I don't really put much stock into weather forecasts, yesterday here was forecasted to be partly cloudy and dry, it rained all day with a high of 49 degrees when it supposed to be 60 degrees.
